Hurricane Flossie Brushes Hawaii

Hurricane Flossie Brushes the Big Island of Hawaii

Hurricane Flossie has been downgraded to Tropical Storm Flossie after brushing by the Big Island Tuesday night.  In addition, the track has changed from Northwesternly to Westerly which assures the remaining islands will be relatively unaffected.  This is very good news for worried Hawaii residents.  See the image below for latest tracking information or visit KauaiRocks.com for diary of this week's Flossie events.

Ahhh, it's great to breath a sigh of relief.  The sun is out, my plywood will remain in storage, and most people on the island are stocked with enough batteries, bottled water, and toilet paper to last for the rest of the year!

Hey Richard nice post.  Hard to be afraid of a thing called Flossie.  Reminds me of the family dog or something

John-It reminds me or oral hygene but maybe that's because I don't have house pets any more.

Marlene-Yes, safe and still lovin' life in paradise.  It's quite a wonderful change of pace from that in my former aerospace career in Maryland

Debi-Thanks for your nice comments.  Come visit our island sometime!
