Hawaii Ranked the "Happiest State"

Hawaii has been ranked the happiest state in America, according to the annual Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index. This is the 4th year in a row for this ranking.  Of the six categories, life evaluation, emotional health, work environment, healthy behaviors, physical health, and basic access, Hawaii ranked #1 in the first three and #2 in the next two.

I've lived in 3 states and found happiness in all, especially in the summer months.  Advantages In Hawaii are that we have summer months all year long, the aloha spirit prevails, and both mountains & ocean waves are never far away.

Ahh...just as I suspected...weather is the key!   No wonder all those freezing states and provinces seek sunbelt vacations in deepest/darkest winter.

Richard,

Congratulations to you for living there, it sounds like you found your piece of paradise.   I also love our state California, we have everything we need. :)

Best,

Hawaii is awesome but I do wish I could drive to New Jersey's Sandy Hook on a nice weekend.
