I continue to monitor the health of the Maui real estate market by region with major differences noted between regions. Maui’s Central Region is especially active right now; some would say it’s ON FIRE. The South Side is OK while the West Side looks troublesome. Ma’alaea is hot as well with a location very convenient to the South, West, and Central areas. Other areas fall somewhere in between these.

The major resort areas are in South & West Maui. The Central region is where most other things are found including health care, commercial, government, the airport, and many of the island residents. Two major planned communities, Kehalani & Maui Lani, are in the Central region and both are wildly popular.
