Kauai Warm & Cold Sales Zones

With no blackberry pie in sight (see earlier post HERE), I had to settle for a pie chart for Kauai sales.  This shows which areas of the island are hot (well, warm anyway) and which aren't (the West Side).  Data reflects the number of sales in 2008 through October 31 and includes land, condos, and residential, both fee simple and leasehold.  Timeshare and fractionals/shared ownership are excluded.

Clearly there is not much going on over on the West Side (where I live).  That area includes Hanapepe, Waimea, and Kekaha.  The rest of the island is doing much better.  Although the central area looks relatively low, its absorption rate is favorable so it's doing well.  I'll update that chart later.

Aloha!

Richard, looks like North Shore continues to be the prime location.

Gena - Our brokerage dominates on the North Shore as well.  However I focus on the South Shore of Kauai and am getting established on Maui now.  The South Shore is a big tourist destination and still has respectable numbers.

Best wishes to you and your Sacramento business.

I like the pie chart graphic !  Very cool.  Is great that your brokerage dominates that section.  Good luck with the rest of the year and into 2009 !

Hi Chris & Stephanie - Many seem to like my pie charts so I use those where I can instead of the more boring bar charts.  It's fun to make them and if I can't have fun in my job then I'd want a different one!  Thanks for your wishes and the same to you.

Hi Richard: Sorry no blackberry pie recipe, the last pie I made was lemon meringue. I have a lot of lemons and fruit trees in general in my yard. My family had mango bread coming out of their ears during the summer. I'm thrilled you mentioned my name in your post. Your blogs and graphics are great. No wonder your #1 in Kauai county. Aloha Julie

Thanks anyway Julie (ragarding the pie).  Your remarks are very kind as well.  Best wishes to you...friendly competition is always welcomed.  And remember...Kauai Rocks!

Hi Richard;  What great ways you have to take plain old info and stats about the market and make it fun!
